Quality Advert
Thursday, October 18th, 2007I like how you can get away with using “cheap” special effects because the video quality is low. Great idea.

Renault Crash protection: Ballet
Pretty cool advert for Renault. Must’ve cost a few quid.
Citroën: Rubik’s Cube
Again, another cool advert. Obviously CGI but pretty nifty anyway.
Keep your vino fresh with a Genie to guard over the left-overs when you can’t make it to the bottom of a full bottle!

Why’d nobody think of this before? I want one, or two.

Nothing makes your meals taste better than the freshest ingredients. The Prepara herb-savor will prolong the life of your fresh herbs for up to 3 weeks so you can enjoy fresh, flavorful meals every time you cook. [From prepara | products | ‘herb-savor’]
This is pretty cool. It kinda peeves me when I buy packets of fresh herbs and they go off after a week. This thing looks pretty cool and your herbs will last for up to 3 weeks! Saves you money and looks cool. I’m gonna get one, or maybe two. Having fresh basil and coriander at all times would be awesome.
Look what turned up at the office today! It’s the Scottish Advertising Awards award for best viral (which we won for www.needtogetoutmore.co.uk). It’s rather lovelly but damn heavy!

A little close up of the inscription.

After what seems like an eternity my issue 4 of Refill magazine, Build special, arrived.

Woo hoo! Don’t you love getting large parcels in the mail?! Even though I did pay for it!

Hmm, that might explain why it took to long!

Tasty, the scary black bag it comes in.

The goodies! What an issue. A fine magazine, mousemat, stickers, poster and some promotional whotsits!
Why are there no cool RSS readers for the PC?
I really want one that’s as simple and as cool as NewsFire on the Mac.

I’m almost considering writing one in Flash!
Actually Drunkenblog has a lot of interesting chat on RSS. Go read.

I’ve just got my sample stickers through from Sticker Monkey. They look splendid so I’ll be sorting out a full run shortly. I’d mostly got them made up for fun but I’ll be selling some on my site (via Paypal) to recoup some of my costs.
Look out for the sticker mini site soon! It’ll have more and bigger pictures of the stickers.
